An Afghan policeman killed five colleagues in the southern Helmand province on Wednesday.
Head official of Geresk district of Helmand Muhammed Fehim Musazay stated an insider ran away after killing five other policemen at a local police control point.
The policeman, who took the ammunition and weapons along, was a member of Taliban, Musazay told.
On the other hand, Taliban said it was a group of local policemen who carried out the attack and later on joined Taliban forces.
Anti government armed groups often target government officials in the Taliban dominated province Helmund.
